After a good night’s sleep and a hearty breakfast, you’ll be more than ready for Day 2 of your 5 Day Inca Trail to Machu Picchu!
A challenging day, particularly when compared to day one, your second day on the sacred trail will take you through the Cusichaca Valley to Huayllambamba, the last inhabited hamlet on the Inca Trail, before following a steep Inca path to Llulluchapampa Camp at 3,680m above sea-level.
The scenery on day 2 of the Inca Trail is truly magical, and you begin to understand just how intelligent and talented the Inca’s really were. The pathways they built here are objects of Incan engineering magnificence, and walking along them is tiring yes, but also very humbling.
